I'd been making music for years, knew the producers I liked, knew the BPM range I needed, knew exactly what mood I was going for. The catalog was out there. Finding it was the problem.
The way most artists discover beats today is broken. You scroll through "type beat" YouTube searches sorted by upload date. You sift through Beatstars charts you can't filter properly. You check Discord servers and producer drops on Twitter. By the time you find the right one, the energy you wanted to bring to the song is gone.
What I wanted
One app that hunts every new free-for-profit and licensed beat published, every day, automatically. Tag them with BPM, key, mood, genre, and producer. Let me search by how I actually think — "Yeat type beat dark 145 BPM" — instead of forcing me to memorize filter syntax. Save the ones I love. Open the app every morning to a personalized mix curated for my sound. Tap any beat to go straight to the producer's original drop, with their tag intact.
That didn't exist. So I built it.
What it is now
An iOS app powered by an AI that learns your sound. Every save sharpens your feed. Every skip moves the algorithm. Within a week the recommendations know you better than your last 10 sessions of YouTube searches.
The scraper runs twice a day pulling fresh drops from across YouTube. Beats are auto-classified by genre, mood, BPM, key, license type. Producers get tagged and credited. When you tap "Get beat," we send you straight to their original drop — they keep 100% of any licensing revenue and we never see a cent of it.
How we make money
A subscription. $9.99/mo, $79.99/yr, or $149 once for a Founders Lifetime seat (capped at 250 buyers). No ads. We don't sell data. We don't take a cut from producers. The subscription pays for the AI model that runs your personalized feed and the infrastructure that keeps the catalog growing.
The free tier is genuinely usable — 12 daily curated picks, 10 saves, 3 folders, full search by recent and trending. Most artists never need to upgrade. Pro is for power users who want unlimited everything and the smarter algorithm.
Our principles
Four things we won't compromise on, no matter how the product evolves:
1. Loyal to the artist. The algorithm optimizes for what artists save, not for engagement metrics. No paid placement, ever — we'd rather kill a feature than hide a paid slot in it.
2. Honest with producers. We never re-host audio. Every "Get this beat" routes back to your original marketplace drop. If you want out, you're out within 24 hours.
3. Public roadmap, public votes. What we build next is decided by what users vote on at /roadmap. Real transparency.
4. Free is genuinely usable. The free tier isn't a paywalled trial. Most artists never need to upgrade. Pro is for power users.
